WHMIS & MSDS

Departments must ensure that faculty, staff and students have ready access to MSDSs or equivalent information for every hazardous material in their work areas. Departments often comply by maintaining paper copies of MSDSs on hand.

Web-based access to MSDSs and other hazard communication documents is becoming more and more common. In many cases, it is easier and faster to locate an MSDS online, than by manually searching through a binder of data sheets. The following links have proven to be valuable.
